“The Occidental Lodge is a very charming, old-school lodge that is well-maintained and absolutely spotless. My favorite part was that there were no smells at all in the room, which I loved!The lodge is located in a tiny, quiet town that I would describe as a micro-country town. If you are planning a weekday stay, just keep in mind that the only things open are a little market and a breakfast café that closes at 3:00 PM. “Could not even check. My money was totally wasted. Made the reservation after 10 and didn't read the fine print that I would need to make arrangements with the hotel before 9 to get keys! Why did Expedia and the hotel take my money when I drove all that way and wasted that money for nothing! Extremely frustrating experience. Guess you always have to read the fine print. Corporate America is all too happy to steal your hard-earned money!”

“Our room was very nice, clean, and roomy. The surrounding area was well kept, and surrounded by lush and beautiful landscaping. There were plenty of places to walk our dogs, and overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We anticipate many returns. A great big thank you to all the staff. My only suggestion is to add a microwave to the rooms.”
