Hotel a Carsley

“Probably the worst sleep I have had in a hotel room ever. The pillows were weirdly very lumpy and uncomfortable to sleep on, so I ended up not using them at all. The bed was very firm and uncomfortable. There was a lot of noise in the hallways and from the streets outside including a couple of emergency vehicle sirens at night, making it even more difficult to fall asleep. I finally had to get up and put in my ear plugs which I usually pack just in case. We had a non-smoking room which was...

“The air was cold. Room was pretty clean, except microwave. Very dirty. Bed dipped down on right side a lot. It needed updated furniture that was broken but not a bug in sight!! For the rate it did the job!! Bathroom very clean.”

“Stayed here one night while traveling. We arrived late from a day of driving and we were tired. When we arrived we were told that the room we booked was not available ( I booked a room with 2 queen beds) but to be fair the front desk said they tried to call me to to let me know but the phone number was not correct. “Check in was easy….” we only stayed one night so we basically just slept there…. However, breakfast was nothing to write home about…. Cereal was not in individual boxes. They were in canisters with a scoop..went down about 7 AM and the sausage pan was empty….. not refilled….not much of a variety at all for hot foods… just premade, omelettes and sausage…old fruit.”

“This Red Roof Inn has an excellent weekly rate. It is inexpensive for the area, but is safe, and very convenient to Colonial Williamsburg.”

“They put us in a room with a broken toilet that they had gerry-rigged with a string. You couldn’t flush the commode. When we asked to change rooms they argued with us at first. They finally moved us. The ONLY good thing about this motel was a good shower. Bed was hard, breakfast was burnt, motel was not well-maintained.”

“The staff was great. The room was so dirty including urine all over the toilet. We were moved to a cleaner room. The floors in the lobby looked like they were mopped with dirty water. I’m sad to say that on this trip the theme for Hampton properties seems to be the same. Under staffed, not very clean, and the property just isn’t maintained. Hope they can fix the situation!!”
