“I cannot begin to tell you how grateful I was to stay here! Please read on to the end! I stayed in the Bavarian Haus for only one night, but enjoyed my stay. The room had a fridge and a microwave was available near my room. The breakfast had enough options to get me started for the day. “So, this is a very old property. That said, it is very well-maintained. I am of the mindset why not stay in a room that has knotty pine walls and mid Century modern furniture than the usual cookie cutter hotel. Parking is directly in front of your room door. It is 20 feet to walk to the lake front. It is a very nice walk up and down the lakeshore. “This was an older property, but very well kept with only a few minor cosmetic flaws. Absolutely loved that the room was waterfront with a balcony: you could hear the waves on the shore from the room. We enjoyed the fire pit that was on the beach and the continental breakfast in the morning: just enough food to fill your belly before a quick trip to the marina and ferry to Mackinac Island. “The Inn at Stonecliffe is wonderful! All of the staff were friendly and attentive. The renovated facility is stunning, with each room’s decor unique. No detail was spared. We especially enjoyed talking with George, the manager at General Store, while getting a breakfast sandwich and coffee to go. Loved our stay here!”

“This is an older hotel but it's very clean and well kept. It's very conveniently located to the ferry. We were able to walk to the ferry easily. It's close to shopping. It was very busy while we were there, but after 10-10:30 pm, we never heard much noise. I was able to hear someone in the next room snoring so the walls aren't super thick. I just popped in ear plugs and went right back to sleep. The people working were very friendly. We enjoyed our stay.”
