“First the room was not very clean. There was missing wall plates for electrical sockets, the paint was peeling from the walls. The bathroom was filthy. The security chain was missing from the door. The room had a musty odor to it. There were stray cats outside the door.”

“Room was decent. Had to obtain additional towels and washcloth. Close to restaurants. Fortunately a restaurant was close by and open on Sunday for breakfast. ”

The property was gorgeous and even though there was a party in the pavillion, I still enjoyed the pool, the bar, the grounds, and my room was a quiet serenity. “First of all Hamilton, Ga., is a charming small town central to some of the nicest attractions in Georgia, i.e., Providence Canyon State Park (a MUST see), Warm Springs and the Little White House, Callaway Gardens, etc. From Don's greeting at the door upon arrival to looking forward to seeing Judy and Rosemary at breakfast our week long stay at Holly House was outstanding. “Bed was more comfortable than other hotels but still not the best. To be expected. The room smelled VERY strongly of chemical cleaner, possibly carpet cleaner. We managed but it was really strong everywhere in the room and other places of the hotel. The sheets for the sofa bed were dirty in the closet but staff provided another set. “I liked nothing about the room I reserved. The carpet smelled horrible and the shower water wouldn't get hot only warm. There were 2 sink holes in the floor that I unexpectedly sinked down in. Just an awful experience.”

“It’s one of the hotels you walk in and know it was really nice at some point. But the rooms have not been up kept, seating and bedding was dirty and I could tell they had not had a deep cleaning in a while. Breakfast was cheapest you could lay out and didn’t even have coffee creamers or teas out.”
