Hotel vicino a Cawthorn Park - New Orleans

“I hate New Orleans but we had to make a trip there for reasons not relevant here. We stayed in Slidell for a couple nights so we could get in and out of the area without dealing with the worst of the horrible traffic in New Orleans. Hotel was clean and staff was nice. Parking lot is a bit tight if you have a large vehicle, but we were always able to find a spot. “The room is about what you would expect for the price point. My only concern was the homeless people nearby and it was a tiny bit ghetto. ”

It looks like the property is being updated slowly as the stairwell had new flooring at the landings, but carpet had been removed from stairs. My room was super clean, however the toilet seat hinges were broken so the seat just fell off when lifted. “Parking was fine. Hotel is a little bit hidden. Water in Slidell is off, but better than it was 45 years ago! Hotel was fine- great price. Breakfast had lots of options- all good. ”

“This would be my last option. The ride was 39 minutes to the French quarter. There is a few gas stations and McDonald’s, Taco Bell and Wendy’s near by. Less than 3 blocks. Right off the interstate. The price is cheap but maybe not worth it if your visiting the French quarters daily.”
