“The Retreat Center offered a fabulous opportunity for a midpoint stop. The location and property were stunning. The drive into the property offered great promise of a comfortable stay. “The rooms tv didnt work, half the lamps didnt, there was mold in the shower and behind the mirror, there were cockroaches and other bugs all over the room. The bed had stains in it, cigarette holes, and a wet spot when i arrived. The entire property smells like marijuana outside.”

“Wildwood Resort is an excellent place offering peace and quiet just don't go there in their offseason. A major drawback is the resort does not have any backup power such as a generator for IF the power goes out. During my stay there was a cold, windy,, rainy storm and the electricity went out and was out all night it was very cold in the 30's outside and it got very cold in my unit. I went to the office and a note was on the door saying that the staff had left early. There was no one available...

“This is a nicely designed and maintained hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly. My only complaint is there is a good amount of noise from cars as the hotel is situated on the main road through the town. Also, if you’re driving a car and need to turn left onto the main road, it can be tricky due to the traffic traveling on the road in both directions and there’s no side exit from the parking lot onto a street with a stoplight or stop sign. “Clean and restful”

“Very few dishes and only 1 fork. Had to stop at dollar tree and buy some glasses. Good ice maker and full size fridge. No housekeeping service for us since we were staying a week and I guess they don't come until you leave. Only 1 towel per person. My husband stopped by front desk and requested a couple new ones (our were soaked after multiple uses) but they didn't have any clean ones so they said they would bring some and never did. “We came expecting a quiet room, amenities shown on the Web page, and a provided breakfast. The last item met expectations. The first floor was jackhammering out the bathrooms for a remodel during much of the daylight hours. It was easy to hear on the second floor. Arriving on Memorial Day and with 80 degrees meant that we thought the pictured pool would be available. It was a wreck, and doesn't look to be available in the near future. “A convenient stay. Very friendly staff.”

“The staff got our reservations screwed up and troed to say we didn't show up for our 2nd reservation”

“Room was clean and spacious. Pool was heaviliy clorinated. Breakfast was not well stocked. My family and others waited awhile for it to be restocked.”

“The rooms were dirty. There was mold in the bathroom. The sheets, pillows and comforters had dirt and stains on them. The manager was rude.”

“Refrigerator didn’t work and informed front desk who said maintenance was on site she will have someone look at it. More than 24 hrs later called the front desk for an update but they were unable to supply any information. We were offered another room so we had to pack up and unpack again. Was told by staff member Bryson that we would receive a monetary compensation but we did not get anything for our inconvenience.”

“The property is generally nice for a simple short stay. It sometimes gets noisy and have some people smoking cigarettes and weed around the rooms, so that can get someone uncomfortable and to me it’s the major downside.”

“We are from Canada and stayed here for 10 days. It was a fantastic stay. The owners were lovely people. As well as the staff were so accommodating. The location was quite and close to everything. Would definitely go back.”
