“I liked most things. The bed was one of the most comfortable on which I have slept. The bath was really nice, long and comfortable. The hot water was hot whenever I wanted it. I ate at the restaurant three evenings. The food was reasonably good but I feel that apart from the jam sponge and custard, the puddings were trying too hard and were too complex to sound attractive. I think that simpler puddings would be far better. I liked two of my main courses, the sausages and mash, and the Cowboy...

“Stopped at Creston Villa in September 2025. Lovely hosts, spotlessly clean room and very comfortable bed. Served a filling, continental breakfast with several home-made offerings. On-street parking was plentiful close to the building. Would certainly recommend.”

“I had a lovely stay at the Best Western Plus West Retford Hotel. The grounds are beautiful and the historic building adds a lot of charm. My room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent—fresh and well-prepared. Only downside was the breakfast, which felt a bit basic compared to the rest of the experience. Overall, a peaceful and enjoyable stay. Would definitely return!”
