The hotel was very conveniently located. Very close to King Street. The hotel was a bit dated but clean and pretty. Our room and bathroom was spacious and clean, the bed was comfortable and the view of the courtyard pretty. The minifridge was super noisy but nice to have in the room. The breakfast was a nice amenity and it was lovely sitting ion the courtyard. We were not happy with Housekeeping. We were told at check in that if our room wasn't serviced, to let the front desk know and they would see what they could do. So basically their policy is to request housekeeping otherwise they would not service your room. Seems to be common in hotels now- had the same experience in New Orleans. In my opinion, Housekeeping should be part of the experience of staying in a hotel. The room was also noisy from the upstairs guests. Other than these items, it was a nice place to stay.

Staff was great. Helped explain parking and breakfast. Breakfast was good, standard hotel fare but hot and tasty. Parking is on site and a little expensive but the deck appears to be safe. The area around the site is okay. Busier streets and not around the more picturesque parts of town. Not too far away though. The room is pretty typical for this class. It was clean and stocked. The shower faucet was plumbed backwards so cold was hot and vice versa. The pillows weren’t great, down material but too light. The bed was very comfortable. Overall, I’d consider staying here again.

Location was excellent to see Charleston. The hotel was just as expected, older building, converted to a hotel. It was not as plush as other Hampton Inns I’ve stayed inn, but for the price, area, very fair. Lots of charm and comfortable. Staff was helpful and professional. Free bus transportation pick up was across the street. If you have a car the parking structure is next door. It is public parking, not part of the hotel, it is convenient and the hotel is able to provide you a pass which you pay for at check in. Breakfast was good I will definitely stay here again.

Location across from Dash shuttle is excellent. Can walk to many attractions close by. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Cleanliness was adequate although trash from prior visitors still under couch and beds. No note pad or pens in room. Staff friendly, but limited on activity knowledge of Charleston.

Dog friendly, however, when you travel with a pet they put you in rooms that are pretty much dated. Bathroom toilet was not ADA height, sink stopper did not work, very few room amenities. The room was clean, furniture dated, for $250 per night I expected a little better. Great location, nice lobby, great grass courtyard for the dog, staff was very nice and helpful, and the free breakfast was nice.

Older hotel in a GREAT LOCATION. Service was great, but the HVAC system is terrible. Our room was 70° when we walked in. We turned it down to 68° before bed, only to notice that the thermostat was actually set at 89°. We did set it to 68°, but when we woke up in the morning, the temperature had dropped to 62°. The front desk sent maintenance to take a look at it while we were out for the day. We asked to have it set at 68°. When we returned that evening, it was set at 72°, but it was 77° in our room. Maintenance was sent back up to take a look. He made some adjustments, but it was still having issues. We asked to switch rooms, which we did, but we had the same issue. Finally got the temperature to stay around 68° by setting the thermostat to 78°. We also had the fan set to go on and off automatically, but it ran the entire time, which made it feel even colder than what the thermostat said. I also noticed others complaining of the HVAC issues. It may work better when just using the A/C, but it was frustrating trying to get some heat on some cold days in Charleston.

The parking lot does not belongs to the property so you have to pay for it daily. Also pet charge is also 75 dollars daily with a max of 250. Otherwise the hotel is nice well care and clean.

My room smelled musty and the air conditioner did not work. We set it to 65 and it remained at 78 degrees all weekend. I called the front desk multiple times to send someone to fix it and no one ever came. The pillows were very uncomfortable. Our bed was extremely squeaky and in bad condition. Seemed very old and run down.
