“We checked in on a very busy weekend. Rates were double normal because of the big event nearby. On Day 1 of our weekend thet had run out of coffee beans for coffee. A big loss for breakfast! The response was, More should be here Tuesday. We have Decaf. This continued the weekend and finally Monday they had beans as we checked out. If you are charging a premium rate, you should provide premium service. Someone could have gone to the grocery story a mile away na d bought beans! I was...

“Eh… understaffed, depressing. loud rooms (stone cottages) - could hear other rooms’ conversations and snoring and doors SLAMMING… as well as LOUD vehicles on adjacent road continuously.. we are learning where to stay for our kid at West Point …. This was trial 1 at a local “hotel””

“Pure luxury and decadence is how I would describe the Abbey. The hotel is located on a hill with a gorgeous view of the Hudson. They have afternoon cookies and coffee to relax and enjoy the sunset over the Hudson. The bed is very, very comfortable in each room has its own thermostat. The staff is very helpful and available at a moments notice. You will not regret your stay at this place.”

“New and clean. TV didn't work, but they were there in 5 minutes and fixed it perfectly and quickly. Breakfast was great too!”

“We were traveling with kids. It was terrible to stay there. After viewing couple of rooms we decided that we can’t stay there.. We didn’t even checked in. We had to find other hotels to stay. Staff was not friendly and very poor customer service and unprofessional.”

“The room is in ok cleaness. There are bugs and spiders in the room. Bed sheet has a dirt. Water come leak from the next room to the floor. It is liveable but not great”

“Booked room with Expedia in May. Reservation canceled ‘Property closure?’ Rebooked at same property, same dates via Expedia at a higher rate in June? Property blamed Expedia for cancellation. Suggested I call the property directly for my next stay. I agreed. I’m not a happy Expedia customer.”

“Staff was nice and helpful. The room was clean but extremely damp. Had to keep the air on lowest setting to keep moisture at bay. Beds were comfortable. Parking was good. Location was safe and easy to get in and out of. Many places to eat close by. My TV did not work the entire 4 day stay. Requested some discount on the room but have not received a response.”

“We liked the property.The room could us an updating.Furniture was chipped in many places.and there was grease on rhe furniture.Hotels is in a good location to take walks on the trail to the water.Staff were very nice and helpful.”

“I’m not a big fan of leaving bad reviews, but this place is just way too dirty,like they don’t even try to clean the rooms. Absolutely filthy, it’s not even a problem that everything is super outdated, broken down, worn out, it’s just the Scheer level of uncleanliness everywhere. I’m talking walls and ceiling in addition to super gross floors. They’re in a great location, but holy smokes, I will never stay here again and I have pretty low standards.”

“Like: convenient to train station and walking distance to downtown for dining, nice view of the river. Good shower water pressure and temperature. Dislike: property is old and needs updating. Rooms need renovation, including new mattresses and bedding, room darkening window shades/treatments. Closet was small and only half height (daughter’s dress pants couldn’t hang without laying on the bottom) and no iron/ironing board. Has a pool but was still covered at the end of June.”

“This could be a nice quiet motel if they cleaned it up,having mouse traps and ant traps in the room along with no garbage can ,sheets for curtains and no drinking cups didn’t sit well. The bed had 2 flat pillows and had to drive out for coffee. The only nice thing was the bed was clean at least.”

“It was a little bit of a maze to find the room and the hallways looked dated and there was a bit of a smell, but once we got to the room it felt like I was in a different place lol. The room was clean, had no smell, more amenities than a regular hotel, shower with good water pressure. The bed was comfortable, smart TV, full fridge with freezer. Very happy with the room”
