“There was no staff on site. Rooms are nicely remodeled but the property looks like it is still under construction. My wife was afraid and refused to stay. I had to find another hotel for the night.”

They are using the hotel for over flow of section 8 housing so there are homeless people all around the property and in the hotel. There were people doing drugs outside the hotel and no staff member did anything about it. I did not stay and asked for a refund where the staff was very dismissive. “Room was spacious, quiet and spotlessly clean. Bed was comfortable, shower was hot with great pressure. Only there for one night but very impressed.”

“This is an older property, so if you are looking for luxury this is not for you. It is clean, has working a/c, shower, TV , microwave, coffee maker and a bed. It has a beautiful pool area, although we did not use it. We just need a clean, safe place to sleep and shower. We stayed her last year as well, for Follow the Arrow Festival. Ther is a great restaurant next door.”

“It's all great, as far as i'm concerned, but one has to know in advance what sort of place it is. It's a mosaic of rustic on the outside, elegant/modern on the inside, quadruplexes, with classic LPs and a turntable in the room. There's no restaurant, fitniess room, etc.. “We usually only leave positive reviews but we just couldn’t for this stay. 3 out of 4 front desk clerks were very unwelcoming. One had her head glued to computer monitor and never even made eye contact with us. The complimentary breakfast was extremely disappointing. The croissants and other pastries were stale. “We stayed at the Pearl St address. It’s beautiful and clean. We wished our room had a coffee maker. We are early risers. Coffee was not available downstairs until 7:30. The continental breakfast at the main building was disappointing. (No butter for the toast) We would definitely go back. Kingston is a charming town.”
