“this was our 4th stay in these cabins but the first time in cabin 6. The cabin was clean well stocked( kitchen, bath, and deck). They provided a basket of welcome snacks also. we had one time in our 4 day stay that they needed to work on a screen the manager texted us to inform us ahead of time and to make sure it was ok with us”

“I don't know why people continue to stay in hotels when you can have a whole house! We loved our stay, it was clean and perfectly located! Beds were comfy and bathrooms were clean with lots of towels. We will definitely be back! Our host was very responsive and friendly. ”

“I wanted to experience what is it like to live in a tiny house. At this property I finally got a chance to do that. The house has peaceful surroundings and everything you need for a couple inside. Just don’t forget your own spoons and forks. Beware of a ladder to the bedroom upstairs. If you are night traveler to a bathroom- it may become a hassle. “I travel to So. Illinois annually to visit but this is my first stay at the Makanda Inn. It will not be my last. I had a very peaceful stay- after long days of family visit and running around with the grands, it was so nice to stay here where it was quiet and relaxing. Breakfast every morning was top notch and just the right portions.”

“checked out but forgot something, ran back to the room to get it and they were already cleaning it. Instead of changing the sheets they were making the beds with the sheets we just slept on. the shocked look on the employees face was priceless. Who knows how many times the sheets are used before or if they even wash them. we will never use Super 8 again.”
