“Only thing I’d say bad were the beds they were extremely uncomfortable”

“Easy access. Strange odor in the common area and slightly into the rooms. Only (3) towels provided for a room that sleeps (4). No towel/rug for the bathroom floor provided which creates a slippery situation - especially with kids! Bugs found in the pull out bed.”

“The property was in pristine condition. It looks like the entire interior of the hotel has been recently renovated, with new carpeting, fresh paint, updated flooring, comfortable beds, new linens, and modern furniture throughout. Everything felt clean and well-maintained. My only complaint was that I was staying in a room at the back of the hotel, and on the second night my key card stopped working. I had to walk all the way around the building in the dark to the front entrance to have it...

“The staff were fantastic! However the room was not very clean, holes in the walls, looked like someone burnt a hole in the floor, and smelt horrible! That being said, it was cheap and I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for.”

“There seemed to be a lot of male workers staying at this hotel which made my wife feel uneasy. The desk manager was by himself and was stretched. The first room we were given smelled like a wet dog, horrible.... amazing that housekeeping didn't correct this. We asked for another room and that was fine.”

“Rich in history, excellent wine tasting experience at adjoining Pippin Hill Farms and Winery. We enjoyed feeding the chickens! The concierge folks were so helpful and nice. Beakfast every morning was delicious!”

“Dog feces, indoors, in the front entryway. Hole in bathroom wall from door handle, spackle missing entirely or mold on the ceilings. It is absolutely not safe to stay here, door was messed with and jimmied during the night, but had the door barricaded, left before dawn and didn’t stay the second night. Ideal place to stay if you plan on cooking meth or have a deathwish.”

“Would be nice to have two hand towels in bathroom and a bath mat. Great kitchen area. Great bed. Enjoyed the hot showers. Basically very clean, except floors. Stuffed chair in living area had dirty arms. Great TVs & internet.”

“This property is actually a very run down motel. The three story facility does not even have an elevator! When we found this out we asked for a first floor room only to find that the room was actually UNDERGROUND up to the window sill and faced directly on to the parking lot (i.e lined up with the car exhaust pipes!) The only positive note was the courtesy shown by the staff member at the reception desk. We did not spend the night there.”

“Clean, staff was helpful and easy in and out location. Starbucks and pizza just steps out the hotel door and across the parking lot. A/C unit in the room was loud and traffic noise from the highway is prominent. If you are a very sound sleeper, no problems at all.”

“Great value for your $ and close to UVA”

“Very rude staff. Pool broken and looked like it had ben broken for a long time. Carpet wet in our room the entire stay. Handicapped rooms shower and shower head not accessible. Breakfast terrible.”
