“The Old Bank in Cygnet was such a charming place to stay. The staff were genuinely friendly & helpful & we were made to feel at home. Everything we needed was provided & the room (the Stirling Suite) was beautifully styled. The ensuite bathroom was gorgeous. Breakfast in the adjoining garden-room cafe was superb, and the apple orchard out back was lovely to explore. “Check-in was confusing, as there was no one at reception on arrival. When I called the provided number, I was instructed to open a locked room that was already occupied by another guest, which was quite concerning. There were also no clear instructions provided for the check-out process. Since my stay, I have been receiving emails stating that payment has not been made. This is incorrect, as I paid in full at the time of booking and have receipts to confirm this.”

“Comfortable studio. Clean sheets and towels. Well equipped kitchen. Hosts not helpful with check in process for late arrival. Studio had an unusual, not pleasant smell when I arrived. Otherwise safe and friendly environment and right on Snug Beach.”

“The hotel has a main building and also operates a separate motel, so you should be careful to distinguish between them when choosing a room. The bed was too soft, and it caused back pain.”

“Parking and location were fine. Found 3 bugs in my room on different days which was gross. Main light in the bedroom didn’t work. Shower had mould in it. Previous guests toiletries were still in the room and you can tell that the bathroom had not been cleaned in years. Would not come back”

“Quirkiness everywhere in this property. Very unique in you need to take the time to actually see everything. Good location to see Russell Falls and surroundings without having to travel in/out of Hobart. We stayed here after travelling the Central Highlands which is also stunning. ”

“Breakfast was great, you can have a complimentary glass of port at night. The bath in my room was incredible. Bed also super comfy, loved staying here.”
