“Wonderful host who was very welcoming and tried to make sure we knew how to get around (visiting the Redwoods!) Very close to Jeremiah Smith Redwoods... Fresh eggs in the fridge straight from the flock downstairs! The Hideaway is a great, secure basecamp for spending a couple of days in the redwoods.”

“Tiny room and dirty floors. Mold in the bathroom. Very expensive due to it being the 4th but was not satisfied”

“Old, outdated room and bathroom. Several rooms with drunk and loud guests. Manager had to pound on doors last night to get the drunk guests to quiet down. By 7/30 am they were outside our balcony smoking. Steer clear from this hotel!!”

“this place is not a typical stay. its a room in a house where the owners live. the room is huge and rustic. it does have a musty odor but that could be from being close to the coast. no tv but for us thats ok. shoud be listed as an airbnb. good value for the price. off the beaten path definitly not for the non adventerous. host very accomidating. i would stay again because the price was right. romantic charm. give it a try!”

“If Moby Dick were sent via Morse Code, that would best describe the constant, low-level noise in room 125 (in the back corner of the property). We asked that they try to figure it out and were told it was coming from some equipment outside and along the back wall of the motel. Other than that, it was fine and as expected for the location and price. Nice to have another bed and pullout for the kids! ”

“Amenities were fantastic. Host included everything we could’ve have possibly needed for our stay including tide pods for laundry. Location was a very short walk to the beach. Parking was abundant. Only complaint is that the location was in a very traffic heavy area.”
