“I made this booking at the very last minute. The room was lovely and is ideal for accessing Skyline Drive and the Blue Ridge Parkway as well as the wineries in Nelson County. Bed was comfy, bathroom good, and had a microwave and fridge. There is no on site staff, which would not have been a problem except I booked very very last minute. Contacted the hotel via hotels.com and email to get my room code. That process took 2 hours or so which was reasonable. Only issues during the stay were that...

“All in all great place to stay. Nice and clean.”

“Nice room, clean, great amenities, decent breakfast. Had a few issues, no working fan in the bathroom (found out the hard way lol), and tub faucet had a fast leak that we reported, but no one came to fix. Keeping the door closed made it very humid in there. Was offered another room but decided to stay since we got in so late and wouldn’t be using the room much. Friendly staff, would stay there again.”

“The view and the grounds were absolutely beautiful. The room was clean and comfortable as well, and the staff was helpful and friendly.”

“The property was easy to find and parking was available. Breakfast was sufficient but no staff available to clean tables when we were there. The rooms were basic and clean. We were supposed to have adjoining rooms and we did, but the door inside did not open. It was late so we did not bother to ask for help with the door. Overall, good for an overnight stay but would not stay for more than a day.”

“This property is actually a very run down motel. The three story facility does not even have an elevator! When we found this out we asked for a first floor room only to find that the room was actually UNDERGROUND up to the window sill and faced directly on to the parking lot (i.e lined up with the car exhaust pipes!) The only positive note was the courtesy shown by the staff member at the reception desk. We did not spend the night there.”

“Staff at Front Desk was not friendly nor helpful. The room smelled so bad of both cigarette and tobacco smoke, and the sheet of fabric softener in the air unit did nothing. Shower curtain ring was barely hanging on the wall.”
