“Very old hotel, unfortunately also the furnishings, as well as the mattresses and the very squeaky bed. Bad cleaning, mildew on the shower curtains and hair all over the place. The curtains do not darken perfectly, so in the morning light penetrates the window very early. The bedroom door does not isolate from the corridor, and all the noises and voices of other guests are heard. Finally, the price paid, which does not include breakfast, was very expensive. “Friendly and helpful front desk staff. Easy check in and check out. Great property and recently updated. Fantastic choices for the breakfast. Grounds and building were spotless. Only one elevator was in operation. Super location for my needs.”

“The Ann Stevens House was a short stay. We went to the Daytona 500 about 26 miles away. It was quaint with antiques placed in our 2nd story room. The mattress was rather hard, but not horrible. There was of plenty of parking and the room was very clean. The host is very nice and accommodating. My only negative comment is that the stairs, that looked rather new, were rough cut, unsanded and unfinished. My husband got a pretty large splinter from the banister. ”

“The room was hot, sticky, and smelly. I was planning on staying there two nights with some friends of mine and we did not feel safe in the area and ended up staying elsewhere and losing our money. The room had hardly any amenities, no hair dryer, no iron, nothing. It felt dirty and I did not feel comfortable at all there. ”

“This place is wonderful! Off the beaten path, quiet, and beautiful. Kids were able to play outside safely. The fishing was great this past weekend. The stripper were running the shad in to the shore and having a feast. The staff was so nice and informative. I’m 63 and it reminds me of being with my parents in 1972 and I had to smile. Also my bed was so nice!”

“Disgusting. Everything looked old and dirty. Rust everywhere. Stains on the sheets. I didn’t even wanna shower. The staff was nice though, I will say that. The pool looked ok too. But the room itself was super gross”
