Very Disappointing!! Staff was very rude!!

My family has stayed at this location many times and have always left very satisfied; however this last stay may very well be our last. Our check in time was 3:00. We arrived at the location at 3:30 and were told our room would not be ready for another 10-20 minutes. No problem. We took a seat in the lobby, but immediately began to notice the number of people, who had obviously been there waiting for rooms longer than us, going to the front desk and complaining. After an hour of sitting there and watching people who came in after us get rooms, I finally went up the desk and inquired about the status of our room. It was at the point I met easily one of the rudest hotel employees I have ever had the displeasure of meeting (and my family travels a lot). He acted like I was bothering him, Every question I would ask,, he would repeat back to me and then smirk. When it was clear that we were not getting a room any time soon, I finally asked for a refund, He said "You want a refund" (smirked) and then said there is your refund. We left and actually began driving home, which caused my young daughter to cry, because she so likes staying there. The ironic part is the hotel called my cell to alert us our room was finally ready--but this was two hours and 20 minutes later than the proposed check in time of 3:00. As a long tem SPG member, this was a terrible experience.
