“Staff was extremely friendly and helpful ”

“The staff was phenomenal. Even at check in the front desk person told me my floor but not my room for safety as to not announce my room number out loud which I really appreciated especially traveling with small children. He went above and beyond when I needed an extra blanket and even let me pick mine out. I got 3 hours away and realized I left my Apple Watch in the room, called back and they put it in the safe for me! ”

“I often stay here when I’m in town. Rooms are clean. Staff is very nice. Hot Breakfast decent processed food. Kids love the pool and I like the hot tub, although, the chlorine levels need adjusting. It’s is way too strong.”

“The common areas were very clean. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed. They were ALL very friendly and nice.”

“Not sure why this place has such a high rating. Besides the front desk lady being really this place fell very short on expectations. The wifi was very bad and spotty, so forget trying to do any work here. The cell signal at this place is horrible. The rooms and the hotel overall appearance needs a whole new facelift. Last but not least the breakfest was horrible. The only thing that was good was the apple and orange juice. I will not be coming back here. ”

“Parking was fine in front of the building. The food met our needs. But when we booked Expedia showed that allowed cats and dogs and this Windgate is Steubenville OH did take cats in Dec 2025 when we stayed there. but I called the day prior to our reservation, and they said they did not take cats since things have changed. They only take dogs now. It was to late to book with someone else so we had to scramble to find someone to take our cat. after going back and forth with Wingate they called the...

“We came to enjoy the pool during spring break with our two small kids and found so much more to explore! We live a little over an hour away in the downtown Pittsburgh area. Great food (we are at Trace and Skyline), friendly staff, great breakfast sandwich + good coffee at the coffee shop! We loved the zoo so much that we visited twice - we paid for the extra animal experience at the zoo the first day we went, hours were a little short so this took up most of our visit, but was worth EVERY penny...

“On Expedia, this property is listed as No pets allowed, which is why we chose it. I have allergies and need a no pet location. While there, we saw several dogs in the hotel. Their actual website says pets allowed. Expedia has the wrong information!!!”
