“The accommodation was clean and spacious. The decor is quite dark, but probably because of the dark beams. The welcome in the pub wasn’t great, we weren’t acknowledged whilst standing with our bags in the pub. I understand the stafff are busy, but a simple’hello, we’ll be with you in a minute’ would be nice. We didn’t see any members of staff as the breakfast is a completely self service buffet. They were so helpful in arranging an early check-in for us and even found a room where we could get ready before attending a wedding, which made the whole day much less stressful. Everyone was friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to help. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and in a great location. We really appreciated the excellent service and would happily stay here again.”

“Good value, but it's true that you "get what you pay for". The room was extremely hot so we weren't able to get sleep, and the noises from the motorway were quite loud- Although that can't really be helped. The staff member we spoke to at check-in was very helpful. Beds were made and clean (although not very comfortable, but that could be a preference thing). One duvet was stained, but that was only noticeable when I stripped the bed at the end of the stay to help housekeeping. Overall, I...

“A friendly welcome by the staff and very attentive throughout our stay. Room 8 was excellent with plenty of space and a large bath with separate shower. Food selection was great and expertly prepared. Plenty of choices for breakfast. Good selection of drinks at the bar. Several walks from the hotel and the river Wye is only a 15 minute walk away.”

“The room was good in size and decor , garden room suite. We were on the ground floor the room above us you could hear everything even the person snoring , the floor must have been floorboards and we could hear everything, This woke us up and continued throughout the morning!”

“Breakfast was fabulous and the bedroom was very clean. Bar had Aircon which was blissful with a temp of 32 degrees !! Staff went out of their way to help with the heat - fan in the room and a spare sheet so you didn’t have to use the quilt …. Much appreciated”
