Camera sottoterra
Premetto che la prenotazione riportava la dicitura (windowless) e non me ne ero accorto. La camera era situata sottoterra assieme ad altre 22 dove prima evidentemente erano i locali di servizio dell'hotel. Era molto bassa, con le mani toccavi il soffitto, la finestra era finta, la pulizia pessima. Aereazione pessima. Alla mia richiesta di cambiare stanza ad un piano sopraterra mi è stata chiesta la somma di altre 100 sterline. A mio parere la prenotazione è ingannevole: è vero che hanno avvisato che la camera non aveva la finestra ma non che fosse sottoterra e alta 220 cm.

The hotel itself was shabby but not unclean. The room was very large and had plenty of storage and a good shower. Bed was alright. Heating worked but made some noises at night. My room was lower ground and there was no lift to that level. There’s one bus every hour that stops right across from the hotel. Besides that you have to walk at least 10 minutes for a bus.

Upon arrival we found black mould, damaged toilet seat, walls, sink, drugs on the side of the table. Dirty towels In bathroom. All in the room that was £94 a night! Spoke to staff they are far more concerned with their own conversations with other staff. Was even laughed at by staff at one point when raising an issue. Would not recommend this to anyone

Overall the stay was good. I requested for earlier breakfast because I had an early morning meeting but the reception did not book that for me. Thanks to the staff who helped me out.

Personally me and my partner absolutely loved everything abot the hotel. Our room was amazing and the bed was extremely comfortable. The staff were all very helpful and we will definitely be coming back to stay.

Hotel is ok has everything you need. Walkable distance from the train station and all tourists attractions. And a pleasant walking trail along the Water of Leith to the coast.

It took a long time to check in but staff were very friendly and helpful. Bed was clean and comfortable. Plenty to choose from for breakfast and it was OK. Beans could have been hotter. I would be happy to stay there again.

There was hair on the bed when I arrived in my room. I went to the staff and explained to her she changed my room. The room smelt of wet paint and it was difficult finding the hotel from the main road. On the way to the entrance, it looked shady and untidy. I wouldnt reccommend and if i had the chance I wouldnt go back. Not much amendities nearby too and had to use uber eats for food as there was no dinner provided

Nastiest hotel in UK??? Perhaps bottom ten.
This place is a dump. I booked it because it was near the car rental drop off and that was a mistake. They have WIFI and parking... For a price, deceptively misinforming on here making it look included. I mean seriously, no working wifi at a hotel, then charge for the one that does work. Every crappy coffeeshop offers that. Its like the ryanair of dumpy hotels in this regard. Beyond that, filthy carpets coming in that need vacuumed, rude staff, loads of sketchy guys outside smoking weed, and drama heard in the halls and elevators throughout the night. No security from the appearances of it. Room was run down, dingy, and I wouldn't've been surprised if the place had bed bugs on occasion.

Great value for your money. This is a clean hotel with comfortable beds. It's close enough to the Royal Mile to walk. Nearby village of Dean was nice to stroll through in the morning. Uber Ride to airport was £27.

Down at heel and not so cheap (mind you, nothing in Edinburgh is). Good location mind you. 8 minutes walk to Haymarket and Rose Street so not a bad option but it could really do with some tlc.

Dirty carpets throughout the whole property, couldn't access my room with the issued key card for about ten minutes had to return to reception and even the card worked on a door near said reception i still couldn't get in and when I asked a room with a window because I have difficulty breathing during the night i got a dirty look as if to say how dare ask for a different room, one carpet in particular looked as if it hadn't been hoovered in weeksit had bits of dirt all over it an appalling attitude by bar and reception staff.

The hotel the staff the room everything was fine but the pet friendly hotels are never clean, I was scratching my arms all night I thought there was bed bugs and pet bugs on the mattress and bedsheets. They should have separate rooms for people only and separate rooms for people with pets. I was disgusted by this and I don’t think I’ll ever book pet friendly hotels ever again

This place is filthy. Really atrocious hotel and the guests seem to match it's quality. Dirty kettles, bedding, bathroom, smells awful an d the list goes on. Quite far from the centre as well so not convenient as well. Old, dated, rundown, TVs from the 1800s, aesthetically disastrous, lift button taped over with duct tape partially exposed, hazardous in several ways, paper thin walls...this hotel should be demolished or turned into a city dump. I have never stayed in a worse hotel, and for 75£ per night plus parking.
