“Hotel feels like it has seen better days but is functional and property and rooms are clean . Pool and hot tub nice. Rooms could use better decor. Restaurant is closed . Needs better path to be able to go to beach which is few blocks away”

“The hotel was built in the 20’s, so it’s not fancy, but it has charm and our room and kitchenette were spotless. The bed was very comfortable, and the room had both an air conditioner and windows that open. The location was perfect. We would definitely stay here again. ”

“We stayed one night and chose this property for its advertised “on the beach” location. Unfortunately, it did not meet expectations for the price. The room was decent but outdated, with no air conditioning. To get airflow, you must open doors/windows, but there are no screens, so bugs come in. Privacy is also limited, as people from the nearby park can see directly inside. A major issue was the train, which runs every 10–20 minutes and is very loud. Since the tracks sit between the property...

“I have stayed all over Southern California and this location and vibe can’t be beat! Very few kids stay here it is more for adults but my 18 year old daughter and I had the perfect time. The staff is great and very accommodating. For sure take a chance on this one . Tucked between Carlsbad and Encinitas. ”
