“The room was really really nice. We stayed in the room with the round stain glass Window, which was really beautiful. We’d travelled to the area to go to Chatsworth house for the Christmas market et cetera, which was great. Staff in the hotel were pretty friendly, more so in the restaurant than at the desk. The room was lovely although I would say that they need to change the carpet around the tub in the room as there were lots of water stains around it which spoilt the feeling of luxury...

“Absolutely fantastic property. Messaging the owner was simple, with quick responses. Great neighborhood. Easy 5 minute walk (downhill) to shops, pubs and restaurants. A little longer (and more work) back up the hill. Extremely clean, well appointed and comfortable. Easy to get to local estates and attractions. If renting a car, get the smallest you can as the streets in and around Bakewell are very narrow. Would rent again!”

“Plenty of safe parking onsite. Didn't have breakfast, but had fish n chips for supper and it was really tasty. Room and pub was well maintained and comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Reception is fully automated (no dedicated reception staff) but housekeeping and pub staff can provide some assistance. Ideal location for Chatsworth and the surrounding area.”
