Room was very spacious and looked like we were in a new part of the hotel room 51, 51 had a great view over the garden where ducks and ducklings were swimming and playing. “The lodge itself is lovely, it’s spacious and has so much potential but Cleanliness was a let down for us. We arrived 30 minutes after the allotted check-in time to a property that hadn’t been cleaned. Dirty towels on the floor, beds not made and the floor was filthy. They arrived 10 minutes after us to clean the property which was done in about half hour, if that - so to us it didn’t feel clean enough and left us slightly unsettled for the rest of our stay, we still spotted clumps of hair and...

“Craig and Tommy were excellent welcoming hosts and they couldn’t do enough to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. We loved the quirkiness, laid back feel, and atmosphere of the Ryebeck. “I’m not convinced this is a five star resort. Arriving by car, the entrance to the hotel from the road is not easy to spot although this may not be easy for the hotel to rectify. We were booked in for 4 days but after day 2 the card keys were voided and I had to get Reception to fix them. Amazingly the same thing happened on day 4!”
