“Excellent place”

“Check in set the tone. The girl was the most unfriendly hospitality worker I’ve encountered. 0 welcome. 0 communication. Checked in and discovered our door was broken and dead bolt wouldn’t latch. Back to the desk. Unfriendly worker inconvenienced by this. We left to eat and came back to see if issue resolved. Again-she is inconvenienced. Hard to find positives when this person kills the vibe.”

“We stay every time we travel thru Iowa City and it never disappoints. Staff is friendly, checkin is easy, location good, rooms comfortable and clean. The happy hour in the lobby with snacks and drinks is wonderful!”

“Clean and decorated nicely all around. No Internet issues for work, my kids loved the amenities. The kitchenette was a plus! Staff was respectful and friendly. Also enjoyed their social hour they offered! Lots to do around the hotel as well.”

“Breakfast was decent, pool was clean and refreshing. However, there was a distinct smell about the whole first floor and especially our room. We were only staying for one night, so it wasn't a deal breaker for us, but if you are sensitive to smells at all, I'd be careful. Staff were helpful and overall the beds were comfortable and room was clean....just the smell!”

“The staff here were so accommodating! The beds were super comfy and the pool was open till 10:00 p.m. which was nice. The floor in the pool area needs to be redone, and some sort of ventilation or fans would be helpful in there. Breakfast was really good, lots of options. Iowa is famous for their spiders, but I didn't find even one in the room, I was impressed. I'd stay again”
