“This is a gambler's hotel where the focus is on making money off guests not visiting this unique Colorado location. We booked this expensive room to visit our son's new property and friends, to attend a 95 year historic event (Derby Donkey Days) and get a feel for this area we never visited in our 43 years of living in Colorado. “Good”

“Staff was very nice, the room was very clean, the pool and hot tub were very much enjoyed. The pool area was very clean. The only negative issue was that we thought we were staying in the casino area, that was not clear on the Expedia booking. Overall the property is not what is expected from the booking but the cost is in line with you get what you pay for! In general cripple creek is a quaint old west gold mine town! Also the inn was hard to locate…”

“It was a nice place run by very nice people. I would have liked to have known that the pool was not yet operational as we booked for this amenity. It was being worked on and anticipated to open soon. There is no elevator and limited air conditioning in the building, so be aware of that when booking if that is an issue for you. It was the right price and the staff were very kind.”

“Lovely history hotel. However the very small room (no where to sit except the very high bed and the toilet was less than ideal. So too was the fact that the 2nd floor room window view was of the very large physical plant for the air conditioning, The view was a minor issues it was the loud hum of the machinery that was problematic.”

“Thoguht it was a fine place to stay. Rooms were clean and comfortable and the beds had nice firm mattresses. I liked the old posters showing the movies that had been filmed in Canon City and the plaques on the doors showing which Stars had stayed in the rooms. The breakfast could be improved. The biscuits and bagels were still frozen when I got to them. But, breakfast at a place like this is always hit or miss.”

“This motel is not recommended to family stay especially if you have toddler or child. First the entire environment is dirty (cigarettes butts and trash everywhere) and second, the most concerning or bothering me is the people hanging around there to make me doesn’t feel safe. The bedsheet has dirty spots and hair to make me wonder if they ever washed and changed it. The bathroom is ok but stained as expected. The only good thing pet is free to stay.”

“Floor in shower felt like I was going to fall through gap between ac and wall you could see out and people smoking meth in the parking lot ”

“Wheelchair accessible bath was not accessible room was not cleaned for 4 days. Bath towels were not changed out. We were there for 4 days and nothing was done in the room”
