This is a lovely hotel and in general we had a very good experience, however was sadly let down by the restaurant/breakfast.
We had a superior double room with terrace which was lovely with excellent views looking over the town, sea and beach which were only about 10 minutes walk away.
Staff were very friendly and helpful at reception, the cleaning staff and in the pool/bar area. At the end of our holiday we were intending to buy a bus ticket from reception but instead one of the reception staff was heading towards the port and offered to give us a lift which was excellent. Unfortunately, breakfast let down our experience here. Disorganised and lacking in food availability on the buffet. Breakfast is served 8-10am but when we went down at 9 or 9:30 it was difficult to get service and lots of items on the buffet not stocked up. At 9:30 there was no cheese, meats or bowls for cereal. You order eggs and coffee through waiters which is disorganised and you have to wait a long while because from 9am most of the staff are setting tables up for lunch! On one occasion when we arrived at 9:30 we had to ask for coffees, re-ask for eggs and then the eggs arrived in the form of espresso when we already had cappuccinos. That day the eggs never arrived. Essentially, someone coming for breakfast at 9:30 should have the same experience and food availability as someone coming for breakfast at 8am. After all, we have all paid for breakfast and are on holiday.
