“What a beautiful setting, we were blown away! The rooms were comfortable, clean and wonderfully supplied with toiletries and hot drinks. The beds were extremely comfortable, best night sleep I’ve had in ages. Parking is free, just register it at reception. Staff were efficient, pleasant and helpful. We will certainly be coming back. ”

“Lovely quiet location. Didn’t have breakfast but the dinner night before was lovely. Clean large room. Lovely shower. The only reason I wouldn’t give it top marks is because it had 2 of my pet peeves .. Firstly no plug socket next to bed .. and secondly i hate fixed shower gel bottles when its difficult to dispense! Other than those minor annoyances, it was a great stay. ”

“The best way to describe the Great Western is with the two words, quaint and quirky! The house is in the middle of a massive re-vamp, but that did not impinge on my stay, which was short, but long enough to form a very positive opinion. My room was clearly re-purposed, with the en-suite bolted on, but it was clean, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom fittings were quite new and of a good standard. “Nice clean, cheap and quiet room to stay the night whilst travelling. Staff were friendly and welcoming. We had a couple minor issues (not the fault of the hotel in any way) which were resolved quickly and easily by the staff. The bathroom in my room was excellent. Massive shower and super modern and clean. Highly recommended. ”

The owners Carl & Tace were so friendly from the get-go and we really liked our room, especially the bed itself, how clean it was and the location. You’re really close to the centre, sea and a nice little park/gardens opposite.
