“I was kept fully informed of the check-in procedure (there si no desk), room information and even warnings about local road closures by email from Karen. The room was marvellous; clean, spacious and with a very shiny bathroom. The bed was the best I've slept in for ages and the quiet made for an excellent night's sleep. A lovely touch was the porridge pot and pain au chocolat left out for breakfast. The setting is spectacular; high above Sowerby Bridge with stunning views across the valley. ”

“Check in was easy & we were shown our room & where everything was. We were asked what we wanted for breakfast & what time. The breakfast was very good & prompt including toast & either tea or coffee. The location is very central & within walking distance & has a car park which made things easier. The only downside which was beyond their control was the 17 weeks of roadworks nearby which confused the sat nav. Definitely would use again. “Staff were impeccable. Food excellent. Whole standard of the place was top class. Just a few minor points to note & could be improved - bedroom window could not be opened to let in fresh air & badly needed dusting. Not enough electrical sockets & could have been better positioned close to mirror for make up, hair etc. Other than that, it was a beautiful atmospheric and classy hotel and full of character. ”

Il ristorante ha sbagliato la comanda del pranzo e la colazione è molto english, scarsa selezione di colazione dolce, macchina espresso in bella vista ma non possibile avere un cappuccino…. Unica alternativa l’ immancabile tea o il black coffee! La stessa macchina lavora probabilmente a pranzo e a cena ma è spenta per colazione…”
