“This flat was very nicely appointed, the only issue we had was that despite adjusting the temperature controls in every room they appeared to make no difference to the actual temperature - they were either on or off regardless of the setting. “I was kept away by noisy guest in the hall until 1 am. My door (room 138) showed signs of having recently been kicked, the fan was covered in dust, the bed (two single beds jammed together was uncomfortable and there were holes in the wall, very different in appearance to that shown in the photos. The guy at reception was fine, when he was there. Cheap but not that cheap enough at EUR 69.34 for the night. I regret booking this hotel aed but you may have a better experience if you are late...

“We booked this place for 2 separate stays months in advance. 1st stay upon arrival and 1st use cups needed to be hand cleaned, using the sink faucet sink would not drain, water was leaking from the pipes under the sink onto the floor. Flooring separating, probably from water damage. We used the toilet there were spiders that i had to kill. Contacted the property manager and pipe leak fixed only. "De Vere Tortworth Court is a beautiful and unique mansion, completely surrounded by nature, built over 170 years ago. We came to visit the Cotswolds, and this accommodation worked out quite well (it is a 40 mins-1h drive from the main villages). Things I loved: All the shared areas are well kept and organized, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good as well as the bistro and the cocktail bar in the library room. Penhalingon's products in the bathrooms Plenty of free parking space Things that need improvement: We stayed for 3 nights in a standard room, and it was okay. The room is quite comfortable and of a decent size, even though it’s quite old – I would suggest upgrading to a more premium room. The bathroom needs maintenance… the sink was extremely impractical to use, as it had two separate faucets: one for cold water and the other for hot water. As it is a very old mansion, the rooms are not soundproof, and we could hear every step and conversation from other guests. There was no fridge in the room and no bathrobes or slippers provided for the spa. The spa was disappointing. The main pool was cold, and the only available jacuzzi was too small and always crowded. Overall I am happy about my experience and I would come back as it is such a unique and beautiful location!"
