“Room clean, quiet, good bed. Only complaint : Air conditioning either blowing freezing air on bed, or when cycles off, the room gets too hot quickly. Great breakfasts! Convenient location.”

“When I first got there, I was checked in by the rudest front desk clerk who is terrible had an absolutely terrible attitude didn’t offer me bottled water. Nothing truly just a piss poor attitude and then I got to the room and the room was absolutely dirty again dirty handprints all over the bathroom. The front door to the room was so dirty. There was literally dirt dripping down the back of the door in the room. Very very disappointing. Stay.”

“I had a terrible experience staying at the Red Lion in Kansas City. The hotel was dirty from the moment I walked in. The hallways had a strong unpleasant smell, and the room was not clean at all. It looked like it hadn’t been properly cleaned before my arrival, which made the stay very uncomfortable. The overall condition of the hotel was disappointing and nothing like I expected. Cleanliness should be a basic standard, but this property failed in that regard. I would not recommend staying here...

“Our room wasn’t super clean - as there was a used bandaid on the bed & a lot of crumbs/debris/dust on the mattress. I get that’s not an every time you clean thing, but it should be enough to not get that bad. Our room wasn’t cleaned daily (4 day stay), which maybe that’s their policy but I didn’t see that posted anywhere. We had to ask for toilet paper, towels & wash cloths. The bed wasn’t comfortable to me, but my kids didn’t complain so that may be a mom in her upper 30’s thing. The location...

“Room was clean and in close proximity to the laundry room. Front desk staff have quarters on hand, very friendly and gregarious.”

“Looks like new bathtubs and toilets and a fresh coat of paint. However we couldn’t close the drain in the tub to give our baby a bath. The hallway smells bad. And the lights in the bathroom flickered nonstop while on. But it felt safe and good for the price.”

“The grass was high, nothing was trimmed or mowed. It looked like an empty motel. The bathroom shower was dirty and had a drain that wouldn’t close. It was clearly broken. There is dust and grime on almost everything. The breakfast was pretty good. Hard to mess up a buffet of waffles and cereal and bagels. So, at least it still has one thing going for it.
