“Staff very friendly and helpful. Evening meal great. Pool area/amenities disappointing. A little tired; steam room nonexistent. Saunas squashed into a corner between toilets and showers (in separate male/female cloakrooms) extremely uninviting!!!!”

“Stayed for three nights over Xmas. The walk from the pub to the accommodation was across a muddy unpaved carpark. Access to the room was via a combination door lock and privacy in the room afforded by blinds at the door ,room windows. Unfortunately there was no internal lock on the door and gaps in the blinds afforded a view into the room from outside. The room was cold on arrival and took hours to warm up. “Rooms are comfortable and beds terrific. Young staff could use some hospitality training on how to be more friendly and gracious with guests, or at least a smile. Could have made an effort to be more accommodating- ie arrived just as dinner service ended. Could have offered snacks, nuts, something… Asked about GF breakfast options. Didn’t seem to know so I had to ask item by item… toast? Breakfast meats? Beans?”
