“When we are in the Des Moines area we always stay at The Revel. It is clean, comfortable beds and quiet. The bar area is really nice and convenient whether you're having a quick drink before going out or sitting on the patio with the gas fireplace for a night cap. Checkin was super easy and quick. All of the staff were very friendly and accommodating.”

“The room was not as clean as I would've expected. The bathroom had a handful of hair in the shower and the grout needs replaced. There was a mystery stain on the stairs and crumbs on the couch. And I woke up to the TV glitching like crazy. The staff checked me in, but nothing particularly special about that. Not very satisfying considering the price.”

“There is a Starbucks inside that's only open for 3 hours but they closed earlier. You have to pay $7 for parking but there is no room to park. Breakfast is closed by 8am just a heads up. The room was so dusty and toilet was running the whole time. Plus the bed was super hard.”

“From approximately 8 PM until around 10:30 PM, we heard doors slamming multiple times, as well as large groups of unsupervised children running through the hallway. We called the front desk a few times, and we were told that our room was next to weighted doors on public bathrooms and conference rooms. The hotel staff told us they could not “police everyone.” The next morning, we were woke up from the same door slamming before 6 AM. When we spoke with the front desk staff again this morning,...

“Our room was comfortable, clean, and quiet. We used the app to check in and out, so the only contact we had with staff was in the morning at breakfast. The women we talked with were friendly and helpful. We would stay again!”

“The property changed our reserved room without notification. Once we were checked in and saw the room and brought it to their attention, then they offered a discount.”

“Staff and services were all excellent. No breakfast included but there are lots of restaurants nearby if you don’t want anything at the on site restaurant/breakfast buffet. The facilities are up to date and clean. There is plenty to parking as well.”

“Weird stains on the sleeper sofa as well as the light fixtures. No additional bedsheets found in linen closet. Rancid smell in room, very few outlets. Roach found in bathroom, very stained and mildewed shower curtain. Refrigerator hardly cold enough to store food. Really dingy and unclean vibe overall, and very outdated property. Breakfast pretty standard. + 1 star for working AC.”
