“The Astro Motel is an absolute gem! The mid-century modern renovation is perfectly executed on the exterior and inside the rooms. The grounds are beautifully designed with lots of citrus, olive trees, grasses and pollinator-friendly plants. A couple of the original motel signs are incorporated into the landscape, too. Our room was sparkling clean...i know this because I spilled something on the floor within minutes of walking in. When I wiped up the spill, the towel had no dirt on it! I loved...

“Pros - Beautiful decor/architecture. Convenient walking distance to shops, restaurants and transportation in the historic downtown Railroad district. Very helpful staff. Restaurant/bar conveniently located on site. Free WiFi. Available parking. Cons - Large homeless population in vicinity. Restaurant not affiliated with hotel so no room service availability and closes early. Slow/weak Wifi. Parking is offsite about half a block away and not totally secure. Depending on how you book...

“There was no parking at all!!!!!! The person in the front desk told me to park next door which was some business office!!! The breakfast it was ridiculous they only had blueberry muffins and guess what they didn’t had coffee because there excuse was we don’t have cups. Our delivery was late!!!! Like really it’s a hotel you have guess why wouldn’t you have coffe cups. Our room was not clean at all!! They didn’t had any shampoo or soap. It was a really bad experience!!! “My real experience was more favorable this time over to the Super 8 because the times are somehow changing for me. Neighbors there are speaking one to another now however briefly in a more copesetic and may I say, in a more needful way. This has little to do with the business aspect of the Super 8, only I thought it might be worth the mentioning”

“This property is a good location, however, if you’re looking to walk into town our have the feeling of “in town” you’ll be disappointed. The walkable path is a good 20 minutes. There is also no daily housekeeping. If I had know both of these things I would have chosen a different location. ”
