“The Hekla Cabins are three, wonderful little cabins just off one of the main roads through the area. The cabin comfortably fit two, but there's a pullout couch (at least in Cabin One) for an additional sleeper. The kitchen has a small fridge and a stovetop, and the bathroom has a shower with plenty of hot water (WiFi was also available). “This was our last stay before returning to Reykjavik to head home. Could not have enjoyed it more. The house is lovely but the best part of all was the transparent domes to sleep in and the covered terrace. Our last full day rained most of the day but we still enjoyed under cover, playing games, painting, relaxing and chatting by the gas fireplace. What a treat!”

“Very scenic and quiet cabin. Awesome deck, with hot tub, and nice yard. Comfortable beds and kitchen was stocked with enough dishes to cook. Would recommend this cabin to anyone wanting yo get out of the city.”

“The chalet is beautiful, much more beautiful than it looks in the pictures. You can feel the care and love for the house everywhere. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. The wood stove was wonderful and there was plenty of wood outside. The surroundings of the house were also beautiful. One of the best places we have ever stayed. Highly recommended. Thank you Johanna!”

“This place was WONDERFUL! Rob was a great and very communicative host, too! The only thing to know when renting this place is that you need to travel quite a ways on gravel roads to get to the house. Be sure to drive carefully and watch out for potholes and lots of sheep. Beyond that, this was a perfect south coast home base. We loved it here. The hot and outdoor space were both great! Nice views and so very quiet and peaceful! We’d definitely stay here again.”

“Our first night in Iceland was very enjoyable, staying at this lovely cabin. It was warm and cosy with welcoming fairy lights, a kind welcome gift and a comfortable sofa bed. "Hotel nuovo, dal bel design moderno; colazione ottima e ristorante buono, ma la scelta di quest’ultimo andrebbe ampliata. La camera ha i metri quadri promessi, ma il grande bagno toglie spazio intorno ai letti. Mancano punti d’appoggio per le valigie, spazio per gli abiti/giubbotti, ganci in bagno per appendere gli asciugamani usati."
