The staff are so lovely and the rooms are always in impeccable condition with a wide variety of ammenities that I still keep being pleasantly surprised by. I always reccommend Totara Lodge when friends and family mention wanting to find lodging near Wellington and have yet to hear any bad reviews from them either!”

“Booked a 2 bedroom apartment. Everything was fine at first until the little critters came out. To find we had rubbish bins behind our bedroom. At least 4 bins. Gross. Went to see if we could change rooms in the morning but got put into a studio for 3 people with one bed. Went to see if we could change agaun but all I got was *this will be the third room* and honestly Saba caur who was duty manager but couldn't supply me with any business card or form of proof as I asked for her name was just...

“It was a nice and affordable hotel! It's close to shops and close to the beach! There is 1 parking space allocated for you in front of your room and plenty of parking on the street! The driveway is a bit narrow so I suggest parking on the street if you have a big car! We stayed during winter so the beds having an electric blanket was a nice touch! “Arrived in late afternoon and reception closed. Rang number for key twice. Engaged. Voice said ring back later. Finally got key for room. Very difficult to get key into door lock. Needs to be looked at. No-one in reception when we left mid-next morning. Is there ever anyone in reception? Won't be returning in a hurry.”
