“We were traveling from California to Michigan and made an overnight stop in Council Bluffs. Since we were traveling with pets, we needed a pet-friendly hotel and chose the American Inn after reading many positive online reviews. The staff was very kind and friendly, which we appreciated. “Nice place. However, if you get a room on the second floor plan on hearing highway traffic 24/7 and bright lights passing through all night. It is very hard to sleep. Also, the standard hotel pillows are terrible and flat. Lastly, they no longer have a shuttle to the airport. They discontinued it our first day there. ”
