“I am more than satisfied about my stay at JR hotel. The cleanliness and the vicinity at the train station (but the room was very quiet and we couldn’t hear the trains at all) and also the cafés and shops/restaurants nearby were the things that we liked the most.
Staff doesn’t speak english well, but it is a general problem in Japan.
I would definitely stay here if I come to Tokyo again. 10/10”

“Best hotel wish it was available for more days sadly it’s often sold out. Lovely owners and comfortable, clean and well equipped rooms.
Ikebukuro is not a main touristic area and I really liked to stay in this district. Mostly locals and interesting surroundings. Still it’s very easy to go to any other Tokyo district with JR and Subway. Will come back here for sure. Recommend it. ”

“The hotel is near the station Shin-okubo in the yamanote line, so very convenient if you have a JR pass.
The area is known as the Korean area, so plenty of Korean restaurants and shops also for K-pop, trendy for young people. Nothing to do during the night. The room is very small but well organised, with everything you need.
If you have 2 big baggages it will be impossible to have it both open in the room, ans there is no space to put your clothes on.
If it is your first time in Tokyo, better...

“The staff was very helpful. We managed to do both the check-in and the check-out quickly. A nice perk was the café above the hotel, which was useful when we didn't know where to eat for breakfast. The massage service was also very appreciated. On the other hand, some of our rooms were noisy because of the closeness to the street and the station.
Overall, our stay was very positive and we would like to go back one day.”

"La stanza si presenta molto piccola e una valigia large viene difficile da aprirla tranquillamente. Stando da soli va bene. Il letto è spazioso e la tv è molto grande con tanti canali interessanti da guardare. Il bagno è piu grande del previsto e tutto sommato mi son trovato bene. La posizione è proprio dentro la movida perciò ogni volta che si torna a casa si viene circondati da persone che ti continuano a chiamare. L'ingresso è molto appariscente e avere la reception lontana e nascosta dall'ascensore dà un senso di privacy. L'unica nota negativa è il fatto che si moriva di freddo perchè la regolazione è centralizzata ed era ancora impostato su freddo. Per fortuna son abituato al freddo e non mi ha dato particolarmente fastidio ma sicuramente a persone freddolose avrebbero dato fastidio
Personalmente dopo questa esperienza, potrei pensare di ritornarci siccome è quella piu economica ed è sempre piazzata in zone interessanti ma forse la considerei come seconda opzione la prossima volta a causa del condizionatore"
