“This property was wonderful! It was warm, beautifully decorated and the single level layout was just perfect for our small group which included our 86-year old mother. The hosts were very generous and helpful. We are looking forward to staying there again.”

“What a beautiful property! Very modern and beautifully decorated throughout! It was a real home from home!!! The cottage is very very comfortable, immaculately clean and has everything you will ever need. The showers are absolutely amazing and the beds very comfortable too. There’s loads of parking and it’s positioned only a short and very pleasant stroll from the village pub the Lion & Lamb where we had a fabulous meal in a very relaxed and pretty environment. I would highly recommend this...

“Lovely country pub in good location for local tourist sites with friendly and attentive staff. Stayed for one night whilst visiting Beamish Living Museum, nice room, friendly bar downstairs and full cooked breakfast available in the morning. Will be happy to return and would recommend to others.”

“This is an excellent, value for money budget hotel. Most facilities are at par with what you would expect from a budget hotel but most outstanding feature is its very helpful staff. Adam is a star. He went above and beyond with anything we needed help with. All other staff we interacted with - Sumit, Helen, Caroline - were all very kind and helpful. Kudos to the management for hiring such awesome people.
The next door pub waggon team is also an asset, good food at reasonable prices.

“Ich habe die Nacht in diesem Hotel sehr gut geschlafen. Das Bett war super bequem - nicht zu hart, nicht zu weich - und die Bettdecke ebenso klasse. Das Hotel wird nach und nach die Zimmer renovieren... meines kommt wohl auch bald dran. Gut - es war noch veraltet, aber auf jeden Fall wirklich sauber. Hier hätte ich es auch noch ein paar Nächte aushalten können.”

“This was my first time staying at the Grand Hotel Gosforth Park but it certainly won't be my last. Lovely hotel, excellent gym / pool / spa facilities, plentiful parking, lovely food and drinks, lovely staff, lovely room with a huge window for lots of natural light. Highly recommended.”

(Maybe could do with a fridge) the surroundings were very nice, a short walk to the Riverside park. Bar and restaurant were lovely, and nice outside sitting area. Food and beers excellent, especially the Prince Bishop, would definitely stay here again”

“Die Lage war für uns als Hadrianswanderer ideal. Die Unterkunft ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, war aber für uns völlig genügend. Das Pub ist wunderschön gelegen und bietet sehr gutes Essen an, das man bei schönem Wetter draussen geniessen kann. Das Angebot war reichhaltig zu vernünftigen Preisen.
Schade war, dass man erst ab 8:00 frühstücken konnte mit sehr wässrigem, teurem Kaffee. Es übernachten sehr viele Hadrianswanderer, die sicher beizeiten loslaufen wollen.”

“The place is an ancient inn in a wonderful spot of the countryside. Perfect for trips along Hadrian's wall or nice walks in the fields. No restaurants in the area except the inn's one, where it's possibile to eat until 8.30 pm. Excellent beer until late.

"Very basic hotel, requiring refurbishment. The main problem: they offer brekfast using a Gym structure 50-100m away out of the parking. This structure is not suitable for food and the breakfast is very poor and NOT cheap. Apart from this, there is no agreement with the hotel and you have to sign a book each time you enter. Sure I'll NOT came back."

"Personale gentilissimo, camere spaziose e pulite con bagno confortevole. Parcheggio comodo e sicuro accanto all’Hotel. Noi abbiamo anche cenato menu semplice ma piacevole.
