“I liked the old world charm of Southern Cross, and the relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
The bed was comfortable, and there were some nice touches such as strawberries to put on our cereal at breakfast, home-made marmalade, and nice biscuits on the tea tray in our room. We appreciated these.”

“Great Hotel, reasonably priced, clean and had all the basics.
Was only a 1 night stay to meet some friends, however I became ill overnight and felt really unwell in the morning and couldn’t stomach breakfast but they gave me water and offered anything they could to make me feel better. The staff were really kind and helpful and made sure I was ok before checking out. This is above and beyond any service I have encountered and I am truly grateful for their hospitality and would definitely come...

“I would highly recommend this hotel. We had a Valley view room, which was super spacious with amazing views of the deer park. We also had dinner in Smiths Brasserie, which was informal but with very tasty food and great service.”

“We had a wonderful stay at Stoke Lodge, having visited on and off over a long period of time, the new owners have made a comfy, friendly and relaxing hotel. The food was delicious and they happily adapted to special dietary requirements.
We can't wait to visit again.”

“This is a beautiful hotel with charm and wonderful hospitality. We have stayed here 4 times and hope to have more visits, which would be easier if we lived closer.
The staff are friendly and welcoming; the rooms very well appointed and clean and the food delicious.

“I stayed at this hotel for one night on a trip to Cornwall. I must say that the facility is well-maintained, and the room is clean and spacious. Breakfast is served. Normally, I prefer the buffet, but the service is fast and attentive.
Let's just say that it lacked the wow factor to earn a fifth star. The hotel's location, although conveniently located directly on a link road and not far from the city centre, is not in a particularly attractive part of Exeter.

The bed was large and very comfortable so slept well. We didn’t eat at the restaurant as it wasn’t overly tempting for a vegetarian.

L’edificio ha un ristorante e un pub del quattordicesimo secolo. Le camere sono spaziose, confortevoli e pulite personale gentile e disponibile. Dispone poi di un ampio parcheggio sul retro"
