Had a great welcoming from the owners on arrival with freshly baked flap jacks and lots of local knowledge shared. A book regarding the building was also an interesting read. “Stayed here as an overnight stop after visiting friends in Market Drayton, very impressed, every aspect of our stay was perfect. Our room had been recently redecorated and was in pristine condition, good and comfortable bed, bathroom a little on the small side but perfectly fine. Nice, quiet countryside location, set in lovely grounds in a historic house in which Garibaldi stayed during his visit to Britain. “The bathroom was very dated. It looked like a nursing home. The flooring was extremely old. The bed was too low. Only one bath towel for 2 people. It was definitely not up to standard for a Hub. The staff was friendly and made you feel welcomed. But this hotel needs serious renovations. ”
