“The hosts were very hospitable and helpful. We stayed for three days. The host arranged a driver to and from Colombo at a good rate. On the return day he also arranged a tour to local waterfalls before returning to Colombo. Excellent breakfasts and home cooked dinners”

We enjoyed walking the tea trails - just expect to make an effort on the plantation hills. We also relaxed and enjoyed the hotel every afternoon. “We really enjoyed our stay at 'Forest Edge Hotel'. The location is charming with nature and beautiful views all around (I think all rooms have access to a balcony). It's far away enough from the main road that you don't hear any traffic. They also have a lovely pool. The staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. “Firstly, I booked this on Hotels.com and paid 'up front'. We arrived at the hotel and found out they do NOT work with Hotels/Expedia. They had no booking, not would honor what I had paid. They did have two rooms and we paid for them. Then we found out it was a 'love motel' and pay-by-the-hour for hookups. This property should be removed from selection on Hotels.com. Damn!”
