“Old style motel on Durango’s main road with southwest decor. I slept in the little “cozy” room filled with a queen size bed which was perfect for my one night stay. Little fridge and electric kettle for tea or pour-over coffee in the room. The office staff was welcoming and helpful. Very clean. “The beds were comfortable, the linens were clean, and the air conditioner worked well.
However, the outside corridors were filthy and smelled horrible near the garbage. The interior wall between the 2 beds had something spilled on it, the floors were filthy in the corners. The bathroom had dirty walls. No hand towels or washcloths were provided. The floor lamp shade was partly crushed.
The breakfast was as expected, but spilled food was on the floor and the tables were slow to be wiped...

“The Apple Orchard Inn is my new happy place!
The moment we arrived; Jim warmly welcomed us and invited us to enjoy a homemade cookie. He also showed us where we could find bottled water. My husband and I stayed in the Macintosh Room, a comfortable and beautifully decorated room on the second floor. It was quiet, cozy, and inviting.
