“It was quite dissapointing that we were late for check-in, but there was not anyone from hotel staff that would have contacted us to keep in the touch. In fact, when we were about an hour journey to arrive at the hotel, the receptionist called to let us know that she'll be out of shift soon and will just leave the room key by the reception counter. I find this very rude as a customer to be treated this way. The hotel management itself should have a replacement staff for the shift changing time...

“The hotel is undergoing major renovations (installing new lifts and other works) so is noisy and a little untidy. The bathrooms are not very clean - there is mould and soap scum build up. The toilet seat in our bathroom was the wrong size so will shift when used (and give you a shock). If you have your own transport then the next issue does not arise. “ Let me preface this by saying, I came to Kota Bharu because I'd never been here and I was just doing a visa run for Thailand. I know I CHOSE to stay at a budget hotel and I get what I paid for but the rating for this hotel must have been bought and paid for. 1. No wifi in rooms (not on the 2nd floor) and the staff could care less. 2. No remote control (or control for that matter) for the air condition/AC.
