“Wonderful simple cabins that are reminiscent of Costa Rica of the past, with very kind helpful hosts. If you’re looking for a quiet clean escape into the cloud forest, this is the place. We were so happy to see all the hummingbirds while we enjoyed the excellent coffee and fresh fruit juice in the morning. “We enjoyed Sangregado Lodge. Upon arrival, we were greeted and offered fresh coconut water, which was a nice touch. The highlight of this lodge is the spectacular view of the Arenal valley. The lodge had very few to no amenities but its location high up in the mountain made it feel more remote and less touristy than the resorts on the main La Fortuna road.
