Hotel vicino a Kendal Leisure Centre - Kendal

“I'm the same person who rated 5,0 below, few months ago. I was so entusiasthic right then that I decided to stay again in this hotel despite I was going to drive 45 minutes the day after. I was wrong, this time I had a complete different experience. The bathroom this time was molding and old, i got 3 towels 1 large and 2 small, the large one I had to use in the pool because they had none to give me and one of the two small was dirty. Not cool. The food made me wonder if they have changed cook or...

“Stayed here a few nights after arriving from the US before moving on to other areas in the Lakes. Excellent location in the heart of Kendal convenient to restaurants and shops. Enjoyed a nice hike right from our door along the river and up to the castle.”

“The room was spotless and the bed was extremely comfortable. Staff was very friendly. Several coffee shops and restaurants are within easy walking distance.”

“There were an INSANE amount of communications, but they were unable to articulate exactly where this place was located, including not including the room number, which made it extremely difficult to find, and that there are an INSANE amount of steep stairs. Disappointing. Definitely not worth the money.”

“Open kitchen, dining and living room, bathroom are very clean. Bedrooms are fairly clean, may improve for cleaning of the beds. A few hinges of the cabinets for clothings need to repair. WiFi and TV are excellent. The house and facilities are family friendly, except that there is no dishwasher, no box tissue, no kitchen paper and only 1 roll of tissue paper was provided for 5 persons for staying 4 days/3 nights.”

This is in contrast to a number of occasions where I have experienced disappointment when staying at other hotels. The general amenity of the Gateway is extremely pleasant and the staff have managed a relaxing and comfortable public area.”

“Property appears to have been recently made over, everything is new and fresh, extremely clean and although on the small side the rooms are perfect for overnight stays, comfortable bed and with more than enough tea/coffee supplies unlike a lot of places. The continental breakfast was excellent quality and plentiful. We could not fault the staff who were extremely friendly and helpful. Overall excellent value for money and we will definitely go back”
