“We were expecting a well maintained, boutique hotel, sadly it was not. Although refurbished in Nov 2014, the state of our room (1) lacked maintenance. Although each was relatively minor, when 10 issues are present, then the result is a disappointment. I relayed these to the receptionist on departure, and she seemed reluctant to seriously acknowledge the problem. This summed up the general feeling of laissez-faire.”

“The staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel is slightly dated but clean. Our room was a basic double with a rear yard view but was clean. Bathroom was good and a powerful shower. TV and tea making as expected. There's no parking and on street outside the hotel is £3 an hour. Free parking between 6pm to 9am but that still equates to £27 per day. I managed to find free on street parking up the hill, about a 10 minutes walk away. Hotel is bang in the middle of all...

Beautiful, comfortable and clean room with great additions like coffee machine, tasty cookies, fan and lovely toiletries. Our only complaint was that breakfast was a bit slapdash with items like bread & orange juice having run out, wrong drinks brought out and a long wait for food.”

“The airconditioner doesnt work. The temperature can be set only at 18 degrees. Very poor breakfast. The selection of dishes at dinner is extremely limited. The quality of food was not at all good”
