“This is an old motel that I believe is being renovated one room at a time. Unfortunately, our room was not one of the newly renovated ones and was, quite frankly, disgusting! We are not picky but have an expectation of clean. The only thing that was clean was the bed. The floor had not been vacuumed, the fridge was dirty, the microwave was filthy and I could hardly bring myself to even use the bathroom, certainly no shower was had. Even if there had been some attempt to clean the room, this...

“Beautiful area with hiking trails, kayaks available at your doorstep, owners were accommodating and available and a pleasure to meet. Everything you need for exception of your food and clothes. Small store with essentials if needed. Would definitely stay again.”

“I am a repeat customer here and appreciate the 5 star cleanliness. If you are looking for amenities outside the room, no pool, gym, bar etc. and a good nights rest is all you need, this is it at an affordable price. For seniors like me, it would be helpful if the bathtub area had grab bars . All in all a good place to stay.”

“In our travels, this is the first time a property "by Wyndham" has failed in cleanliness, and upkeep of amenities. The foyer and breakfast room and pool area looked well-kept but beyond that.... elevator carpeted floor and hallway truly awful. What looked like sawdust. A carpenter lives here? Trying to be just. The room: Sour smell, double bed, water stains on ceiling. AC adequate but filter needed cleaning and missing a knob. Bathroom: sink not cleaned, dark something and splatters around...

“Older hotel but well maintained. The room was huge and bed very comfortable. Exterior door to outside which is ideal for my dog. Water hot and food close by. A very enjoyable stay”

“Expedia customers rarely get main-floor rooms. Not surprisingly, my room was on the 2nd floor. I am a senior and asked for a main floor room as there is no elevator. That request was declined. I asked for assistance with my luggage up the stairs to the 2nd floor. That was declined.”

“The only problem we had was being on the first floor and a smoking area was right outside our room. Smoke came into our room through the air conditioning system. To make matters worse someone started smoking pot outside our room. We reported it to management and they offered us 10,000 Holiday Inn bonus points. I feel they did all they could to help. I would not recommend staying on the first floor.”

“This hotel was surprisingly great! The entire place, and my room were completely spotless and the staff were incredibly helpful. Full breakfast (not just continental) was included and it was delicious! I'll absolutely stay here again when I visit Sault Ste Marie.”
