Hotel a Lake Clear

“The rooms were really clean and the staff was knowledgeable and guided us on various attractions throughout the area as well recommended family friendly hikes. The location of the hotel is excellent and right in the heart of downtown. No need to worry about parking etc in downtown, as the town is walkable from hotel. I have Tesla and the hotel has free Tesla charger on site which was really convenient and saved me lot of time throughout the day for charging. Will definitely go again and again....

“Room was clean and comfy. It would have been better if there was a microwave in the room and parking lot could use some love. Location is convenient. Really liked the finger ID lock, Nice to not have to worry about a key. All in all for the price our stay was great!”

“I booked the Spruce Room, which has extremely dated pictures online. There have been years of use when you actually view the place. The kitchen has stains and marked up tiles, bathroom is barely clean with black mold in the back of toilet. All 4 of our beds had dirty linens and since there is no on-site manager, they had us raid the emergency shed and hopefully retrieve extra sheets. These sheets were all unusable. They reeked of mildew. Our family had nowhere to sleep that night, so we had to...

“Rodeway is perfect for a hiker or anyone wanting to meander all day in the village area. If you’re going to Lake Placid to sit in a hotel room this is not where you want to stay. Not immaculate cleanliness and a little outdated however, no bugs, working AC, and the pool and hot tub area was a plus. We are particular with our pillows and bedding no matter where we stay we bring our own. The beds were comfy and the staff was there when we needed them. We will be staying here again in the future.”

“Location is perfect, right on Main St near all the shops and restaurants. On site restaurant is great for a drink and an app, the rooftop bar has an awesome view. Our room was great, but is probably due for an update. Both the tub and fireplace needed multiple repairs during our three night stay. The staff is extremely friendly. The manager on duty, Trace, went above and beyond to help us and other customers have a great experience.”
