Hotel a Lanark Highlands

“Not only is this a delightful heritage home, but the hosts, Rob and Liisa are wonderfully welcoming. The breakfast was fantastic. Lanark is a bit of a backwater, but Perth is nearby with an abundance of places to eat and shop. We highly recommend Clyde Hall!”

“We stayed 1 night at Econolodge Smiths Falls and can safely say we would not return. The positives, staff were friendly and helpful, the bed was comfortable but we did have to ask for extra pillows. The negatives, the hotel is in desperate need of renovation, peeling paint, cracked bathroom sink, enamel on bath cracked, no fan in the bathroom, carpet ridges and stained. The balconies were very dismal and had there been chairs to sit in you would not be able to see the view of the canal due to...

“The breakfast was good, a typical hotel continental breakfast. The hotel was okay, when you have no other options, it works. The walls are extremely thin, you can hear everything from the hallways and surrounding rooms from the inside of your room. The pillows were horrible, we made it work by using double the pillows. As a hotel just to sleep, it was fine.”

“They told me it was a non -smoking room however, when we went into the room is smelled of smoke. They said they could not provide me with another room because they were fully booked. We tried opening the windows but the window screen was ripped and bugs were flying into the room. The carpet was old and needed to be vacuumed. “Rooms were very clean and the beds were well maintained. The mini-fridge and microwave in each room were nice and useful. AC/heater was easy to figure out. Owners were lovely and helpful during check-in. It's just outside of Perth, so there's only fast food nearby unless you head into town. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay!”

“Low price reflected in the basic rooms. TV and cable but no wifi. Good water pressure, air conditioners in every room, comfortable beds. Not all light fixtures had bulbs. Lots of parking, room for trailers. Several fast food outlets, convenience store within 5 minutes walk, gas stations within 5 minute drive.”
