“The pool are was filthy the hallway carpet was old and stained and ripped up with big chunks missing. The pool had chipped up bottom and the area around the pool had chunks of concrete dirt and even insulation laying around on the ground looked like hasn’t been cleaned or swept in months. “Beautiful property with a stunning view. It was a great weekend escape and I absolutely love that it was a dog friendly stay. The owner is incredibly responsive. We did have an issue getting stuck / sliding down the driveway due to ice and snow. Luke replied right away and had someone come plow and bring salt. “It is one of the few newer motels in this part of Iowa. The room was contemporary but basic, and it was clean and quiet. Privacy was assured since our window faced a nearby cliff. Other rooms have river views. There is limited on-site parking, but free parking nearby on the street.”
